Ultracur3D® EL 60
Flexible Resin with Quick Elastic Response and Low Hardness (Shore 75 A)
Ultracur3D® EL 60 by Forward AM is a very versatile reactive urethane photopolymer for highly elastic applications, combining very good torsional strength and elongation at break with high softness (Shore 75 A) and low water uptake. It shows almost no compression set over time, and is very easy to print.
Benefits at a Glance
- Low hardness (Shore 75 A)
- Quick elastic response
- Easy to print, also very fine structures
Example Applications
- Footwear
- Prototyping
- Cushioning pads
- Flexible grip
Material Properties
- Rebound resilience: 21 %
- Elongation at break: 95 %
- Hardness: 75 A
- Water absorption (24h): 0.60 %
Ultracur3D® EL 60 rebound behavior
High speed videos of a drop tower test of a steel ball (~130g) onto a lattice structure (60x60x22mm³) from 0.95m height.
- The Ultrasim® material model can also be used for simulating flexible materials
- Depending on the material’s energy dissipation the Ultrasim® material model can be adjusted to reflect the correct rebound behavior
