Description
Zortrax Z-GLASS Filament – 2kg
ZORTRAX 1.75mm Transparent Z-GLASS 3D Printer Filament
2kg Spool for Zortrax M300
Z-GLASS is a material with unparalleled properties that will allow you to successfully replace brittle glass elements in your functional prototypes and show what is within them. Its low shrinkage level makes it possible to 3D print defect-free models which will be durable and scratchproof, including automotive and electronics objects. With Z-GLASS, you can create light-transmitting objects that will remain unaffected by heavy exposure to light (high UV resistance) or most acids and alcohols, and weak alkalies. All these advantages make this material ideal not only for industrial sector but also for creating interior design elements.
Z-GLASS is made using a proprietary mix of PETG and fiberglass filings. This combination gives you the semi-transparent effect you know and love from PETG, combined with the strength of fiberglass composite thermoplastics. That makes Z-GLASS the perfect material for prototyping and even creating end-use translucent parts.
Applications
- light-transmitting concept models
- transparent parts
- automotive industry
- models imitating glass
- decorative accessories
- parts tested outside
- parts required to be resistant to salts, acids, alkalis, and solvents
Light-Transmitting
Objects 3D printed with Z-GLASS are semi-transparent. That’s why they can imitate glass. You can apply various coating substances to enhance the effect and make them even glossier.
End-Use Products
Z-GLASS is perfect for end-use products, like a camera light diffuser, 3D printed at the fraction of the market price. Translucency of the models can be adjusted by changing settings in Z-SUITE.
Scratch-Free
Z-GLASS material is scratch-resistant, making the 3D printed models usable over a long period of time. Combined with chemical resistance, the filament is ideal for prototyping and industrial tooling.
